When it came to making the nose, It was a little tricky at the start because I did not really pay much attention to the tutorial and decided to try and do it by myself. This ended in failure so I then took a good look at the tutorial and realized what I needed to do.
By using the editable poly, inset and making the nose have more polygons going inwards and then using the extrude tool to make then move back into the head. I did not use the inset and ended up with a very sharp inside of the nose that did not look correct.
As you can see from this image the nose does look right but after a turbo smooth and some lighting you will be able to see where all the crevices and cracks are. Also from the front view you cannot see highlights and low lights to give it depth.
Here is the final image, once it has been turbo smoothed. Its not perfect but it is a good enough representation of a nose for what I was looking for.
The Amazing Blog of Daniel Reeve
The blog that you see before you is an online thinking place for all my University Work. Before you laugh most of it contains 3D work, which I would not call my best area of expertise!! I am a 2D Illustrator at heart but love to try out new stuff and see what else I can create.
My personal website DJR DESIGNS is in the navigation bar at the top, if you want to see some of my best work and designs. If not then carry on reading and discover how an amateur 3D designer works :D
